Enrollment Limited to First 75 Paid Wrestlers

Fees: $75 for first wrestler, $50 per additional child

Fees Cover:
Insurance through both Cincinnati Youth Wrestling and USA Wrestling
Usage of facilities at New Haven Elementary
Use of team singlet
Team T-Shirt and shorts
End of Season banquet

Practices begin on Wednesday November 9th. Most practices will be held at New Haven Elementary (map link above) on Wednesdays and Fridays from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm.

Please remember we are GUESTS of New Haven Elementary and at times may require practice days or time changes as they deem necessary. We will communicate these changes to you in as timely a manner as possible.

Wrestler will be required to have wrestling shoes and headgear. These items can be purchased at Dick's Sporting Goods or various wrestling websites. (Please see toolbar on left for recommended links)

Regular season tournaments are NOT required but are highly recommended. Coaches will discuss each tournament before attending with regard to degree of difficulty, and level of experience as pertains to the wrestler. The top 3 placers of each weight class usually will receive a medal or trophy from each tournament. Kids usually get to wrestle at least twice, win or lose.

The Regional Wrestling tournament is REQUIRED if your wrestler wants to participate in the Kentucky State Youth Wrestling Tournament in February.

Wrestlers will always wrestle another athlete at tournaments within 5 lbs. and 1 year of age. During practice, coaches will do their best to assign drill partners with similar guidelines.

Tournament entry fees are the responsibility of each wrestler's parent/guardian. Since tournaments are not required, they are not included in registration fee. The cost is typically $10 - $15 and is decided upon by the host organization. The fee will be collected at practice during the week prior to the tournament.

Wrestlers will be issued a team singlet for use during the current season. It is the required uniform for match participation at the tournaments. The singlet is the property of the Raider Youth Wrestling Club and must be returned at the end of the season. Please understand that not complying with returning the singlet may result in a monetary charge and loss of team privileges.

Each wrestler will weigh in before every tournament. This information is required by every organization PRIOR to the tournament date. Late registration is not allowed. If you will not be attending practice on the day of a weigh in, please notify the head coach or team mom BEFORE so that arrangements for weight can be made.

Please understand all rules will be strictly enforced to ensure the safety of each and every participant. A responsible adult must be present during practice to assume responsibility for a wrestler if the need arises.

WE WILL HOST OUR RAIDER YOUTH RUMBLE TOURNAMENT JANUARY 2ND AT WALTON-VERONA HIGH SCHOOL. THIS IS OUR MAIN FUNDRAISER AND REQUIRES IMMENSE TEAM PARTICIPATION. IT HISTORICALLY HAS BEEN A HUGE SUCCESS -- YOUR COMMITMENT TO HELP CONTINUE THIS IS GREATLY APPRECIATED!!

CODE OF CONDUCT
All participants and spectators of the Raider Youth Wrestling Club are expected and required to behave in accordance with the following rules of conduct at all times. Failure to do so may result in the loss of spectator or participant privileges. Please remember you are a representative of the program, and therefore must conduct yourself respectfully at all times. Our program has a strong, well regarded presence in the youth wrestling community and we intend to keep it as such.

You must agree to:

Respect and listen to coaches and referees at all times
No arguing with opposing coaches
Respect your teammates
Respect your opponent and coaches by shaking their hand before leaving the mat
Respect adults/parents including those from other teams
ABSOLUTELY NO kicking, punching, biting, hair pulling or any behavior intended to deliberately hurt another wrestler
ABSOLUTELY NO unsportsmanlike conduct before, during, or after wrestling matches by parents, coaches, or wrestlers
Respect the contents and property of New Haven Elementary as well as any other property we attend for tournaments
Respect Raider Youth Wrestling Club property such as (but not limited to) wrestling mats, singlets, scales and other equipment.
